It Is Important To Know Your Rights:
- No law requires you to get more than one estimate.
- You are not obligated to use any particular shop to obtain repairs.
- You choose the shop and authorize the repairs.
- You do not have to accept the insurance company's appraisal of the damage. See the "Appraisal Clause" in your policy to review the differences.
- You are responsible for the cost of the repairs. Financial arrangements must be completed before the vehicle can be released.
- Our people are professionally trained craftsmen who do a quality job of restoring your vehicle at a fair price.
Common Phrases Insurance Companies Use:
"The are not on our list."
We are not on many insurers' lists because we prefer not to be. We identify the vehicle owner as our primary customer, not the insurance company. After all, they may not be on our list, so ask us!
"They are hard to work with."
We do not accept the insurance companies policies regarding used and aftermarket parts. We use new, OEM parts whenever possible to provide our customers with the best possible repair. Additional expense to the insurance company to repair your vehicle in what we feel is the right way is portrayed as being difficult to work with.
"They charge too much."
Our technicians are expertly trained and we charge fair, consistent amounts for our work.
"They take too long."
We have the fastest cycle times in the area. Our unique team based repair process allows us to be faster then all "traditional" body shops.
"If you take it to one of our shops, we will guarantee the repairs."
The body shop is always the one guaranteeing the repairs. When an insurance company says this, they are passing along the guarantee they require the shop to have. We have one of the top warranties and guarantee everything we do.
"We can't guarantee their work."
We guarantee everything we do to your car in writing. Our warranty is between our shop and you, the car owner.
"Claims take longer to settle if you use them."
We have eliminated every inefficiency in the repair process except for the delays caused by insurance companies. It is our best interest, as well as yours, to get your repair completed quickly. With our process, every delay that occurs is caused by the insurance company not wanting to pay full price.
"You will have to pay 'The Difference'."
"The Difference" that the insurance company is referring to is the price difference between the estimate we write and their initial estimate. "The Difference" is added items or procedures needed to repair your vehicle to pre-accident condition. We know your rights, don't be misled. Everything we write to properly repair your vehicle will be part of the insurance claim. This is simply a method to get you to their direct repair shop, which would save them money and could result in improper repairs.
"We are on your side. Can you work with us?"
This is a plea to sway you to their direct repair shop in an effort to save money on the repair. Choose a body shop that works for you, the customer, not the insurance company.
"Let's see, when your policy comes up for renewal?"
This is a veiled threat that has no bearing on the repair of your vehicle and should be disregarded.
